You’ve got bats in your house or some other building. Or you know someone who has bats. That’s why you are reading this page.

Your big question is “what do you do about it?”
I’ll give you that answer in a little bit.
First, you have to realize that, if you see a bat go into your attic, there’s likely more than one. Bats feed after it gets dark. So, you usually don’t even see them. And since they don’t really make a lot of noise, you‘ll rarely know they’re even there. If you saw one, it was probably by chance.
Someone I knew thought he saw a bat in the eave of his house. He got a garden hose to “flush the bat out.” To his extreme surprise… two dozen bats flew out from that one little place. They came through an opening no wider than a half an inch.
Second, you need to know that bats can multiply rapidly. Bats can have up to 8 babies per litter. The bat colony can grow pretty fast in a short period of time. Thinking the problem will go away on its own is not a good plan.
Third, you need to understand that poisoning a bat is a bad thing. Why? I’m glad you asked. Bat extermination can cause you some problems. First off, killing bats in Missouri and Kansas is illegal. Bats are a protected species in all 50 states in the U.S. If the bats are poisoned and die in your attic, you could have a smelly problem on your hands.
So, what are you supposed to do?
Contact a company that provides “bat exclusion” service, like us. We’ll do an inspection of your home or building and find out where the bats are getting in.
Then, we’ll install one-way doors on all entry points. This will let the bats get out, but they can’t get back in.
After a set period of time, we’ll come back and remove the one-way doors and seal up the entry points. This is to keep any other bat from trying to make a home in your attic.
